Residue Deflectors or Trash Tubes
Many types and designs of Primary Sales residue deflectors (Trash Tubes) exist to aid broad-acre tines to more easily flow through existing stubble and trash whilst one pass seeding.
As we move further towards the retention of stubble/trash and weed control mechanization as a means of retaining moisture and reducing input costs the retained stubble and trash grows which with both tined and disc machines will roll under the frame with curved tines or build-up and crimp on the tines affecting seed placement.

Performance of both edge-on and flat-on tines will be enhanced when fitted with residue deflectors. These deflectors aid residue flow through the implement by preventing straw being crimped around sharp edges of the tine. On most models the lower end of the deflector is cut to fit over the top end of the Primary Sales Points to eliminate another potential stubble trap. They are easily fitted and are zinc coated to improve their performance. Mounting bolts and nylocs are included.
